Anit-Money Laundering Central Body Meeting (1/2020)
On 2020 July 28th ( Tuesday ) from 1400 to 1600, Meeting No. (1/2020) of the Anti-Money Laundering Central Body was held at the Meeting Hall of the Office No.(38), Nay Pyi Taw. It was held under the leadership of the Lt. Gen. Soe Htut, Chairman of the Anti-Money Laundering Central Body, Union Minster of the Ministry of Home Affairs. 12 members of the Anti-Money Laundering Central Body attended the meeting. 2 on behalf of members; 12 people who were specially invited. A total of 26 people attended.
In that meeting , Lt. Gen. Soe Htut , Chairman of the Anti-Money Laundering Central Body, Union Minster of the Ministry of Home Affairs delivered his speech that "This meeting is the regular meeting for the year 2020 of the Anti-Money Laundering Central Body. This meeting was planned to be held in early April, but was postponed due to the situation of the COVID-19 epidemic. According to the National Strategy for Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism, the AMLCB meeting must be held once every four (1) months. In addition, the meeting is held because the central group and the steering committee led by the Vice President (1) must hold such meetings and carry out consultations during the period in which the Action Plan is being developed and implemented for the recommendations made by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) on Myanmar."
